Textbooks are teaching materials are reviewed and adopted on a rotating basis, and students are supplied with the best educational materials. All newly adopted textbooks will have a web-based component to enhance student learning.
Several methods of instruction are utilized at St. Andrew the Apostle Roman Catholic School. Common methods of learning include interdisciplinary and cooperative units, as well as Smartboards, Smart Tables, technology, experiments, and manipulatives. These tools reinforce and promote the mastery of skills and information while encouraging higher-order thinking and problem-solving.
The core curriculum is enriched by the inclusion of the following: music, art, foreign language, computer, library skills, and physical education. Additionally, technology is continually integrated into the curriculum with the availability of two fully operational computer labs.
